Compassionate Home Euthanasia for Pets

Gentle Journey is a veterinary practice solely dedicated to providing families the invaluable opportunity to bid farewell to their beloved pets in the privacy and familiar surroundings of their own homes.

At Gentle Journey, we understand the profound and cherished bond between you and your beloved friend. We recognize that navigating the end-of-life journey can be a challenging and emotional time. Our mission is to provide you and your pet with the utmost care and support during this difficult transition.

We are here to help you navigate the end-of-life journey. Every being deserves a comfortable end. We want to honor the bond you have with your pet with compassion, grace, and dignity.

Our Key Services:

For pets facing a terminal illness or a decline in health, our dedicated hospice care provides comfort and support in the final stages of their life. We work closely with you to ensure your pet's comfort, manage pain, and maintain their quality of life until the time is right for a peaceful transition.

At-Home Euthanasia

When the time comes, our compassionate team will be honored to assist you in setting up the home visit for one of our caring doctors to come and help you and your beloved companion. With the utmost respect for your pet's dignity, we offer a gentle and peaceful transition in the familiar surroundings they know and love. We will respect your traditions and requests to honor the passing of your pet. We welcome special music, flowers, guests, and other meaningful comforts.

Aftercare And Cremation

When your pet has passed and you have had time and privacy to say goodbye, we can take your beloved pet with us if you wish for aftercare. There is communication through identification that stays with your pet as well as an identification and instruction form to ensure that your wishes are followed exactly, whether you request that your animal’s ashes are returned to you or not.

Knowing When It's Time:

When we welcome a pet into our lives, we understand that one day we'll face the difficult decision of relieving them from pain or illness. If your pet has an incurable illness that affects their quality of life or if their senior days are filled with confusion and sadness, in-home euthanasia can provide relief. Signs that your pet may be suffering include a loss of appetite, difficulty with bathroom habits, decreased interest in joining in on family activities, a lack of self-grooming in cats, or decreased playfulness and enthusiasmin for dogs.

Throughout this difficult time, we strive to create a supportive community for pet owners who are navigating the end-of-life journey. We will provide resources, guidance, and a compassionate ear to listen.

You are not alone; we are here to support you every step of the way.
